THE KRISTALLNACHT REVISITED.
  Kristallnacht revisited.

Last week, a group of religious people entered the Buenos Aires Cathedral, in order to commemorate the so-called "KRISTALLNACHT",  the night when a terrible riot took place in Berlin and other places of Germany (they were dark forces -commanded in fact by the government)  committed destruction, arson and murder,  and finally lots of innocent people were sent to prison just on the grounds of being Jewish or political opponents.

Historians say that the Kristallnacht is the set-up of the Holocaust. It was really a turning-point as regards politics, law and civil rights in Germany. From that point onwards, everything down fell into the hell of concentration and extermination camps. It happened in November 1938.

Among the persons who entered the cathedral last week were the Archbishop of Buenos Aires, and many representatives of groups for the religious dialogue, coming from Judaism, Baptism and other forms of Christianism,  and members of different Movements of the Catholic Church (such as the Focolare Movement, to which I adhere).

When they were trying to set up a prayer and a homage to the victims,  another group entered the cathedral.

There were some priests and some young people, mostly men. They started to pray -different prayers-  quite out loud,  and, say, against the other prayers and speeches. Finally, one of them climbed the stage and took out the microphone, starting his own speech. He commanded everyone present in the church to go out, due to the presence of God in the Tabernacle. He said that everyone, members of the multi-cultural group, were desecrating the place, because of the ever-existing presence of God in the shape of the Holy communion, at the front of the church.

The whole scene can be observed in youtube. In my opinion, it is outrageous. And the "comments" below the post are the worst. Many of these comments appear to agree with this act of intolerance. Many of the comments say that "the Jews deserve what happened: because they have never recognised Jesus". Evidently, they are comments stemming from the same intolerant group.

I consider that this group (it is said that they come from the Lefebre movement, who are considered to be apart from the Church, and who are deniers of the Holocaust)  acts with extreme bigotry. In the XXI Century, with all the events that have occurred (the use of the human being for experiments, the concentration camps where men and women were put into a murdering machine,  etc) we cannot act in this way.

The idea that religious people could not gather inside the Church to pray and to honor the victims of the Holocaust, just because "JESUS IS THERE, IN THE TABERNACLE", as they say, is intrinsically contradictory. If Jesus is there, and if Jesus is God,  Jesus does not care if some of the visitors believe He is God or not,  provided that they act with respect, love and care for others.  It is worse to act as this Lefebre group has done, with loafs of hatred, jerk and brusqueness. That is what Jesus DOES NOT want, I am pretty sure !! Jesus was full of love for EVERYONE.

With this situation, the Lefebre group -probably in search for visibility and fame- has shown that these acts (the commemoration of the Kristallnacht) are still quite necessary.  Because, unfortunately, with the Lefebre reaction, for half an hour, the Kristallnacht has been revisited and morally repeated.
